Are you going to send it to your pals at the Gruaniad as well, Eddie?

And we're expecting a signed confession from Roger today - just so we know where the truth really lies (or the lies really lie?).

    Let the Healing Begin.

Awards are for the amusement of wise men and the blind excitement of fools. What a foolish lot we all are! Can we have some merchandise to celebrate :-) beeny hats with 'I listen to award winning PM' written on them, car stickers with 'my other award winning programme is Today'. How about a sticky fluffy bug with a pair of headphones and a tag saying ' The award winning PM bug'. Don't forget a keyring with ' PM the award winning key to the days news' and the ultimate a coffee mug with 'The award winning PM.. who needs caffiene?!'
You can have all of these ideas for no fee. No don't thank me.. you've won the awards.. I'm just a listener..... sarky bastard!!

Just voted at the Village Hall. I think I was their first customer. You'd never know there was an election here at all. Apathy rules. The Labour Party is so thin on the ground that they couldn't field even one candidate in this ward, again. It still causes me pain to have to put a cross by the silly bird instead... SO has a postal vote, but I still enjoy the seriousness of the polling station, the bored electoral officers, the stubby pencil on a string, the plywood booth and stuffing my vote in the box.

But Ed (5), I am battling my conscience with this one as there is not a single attractive candidate in the 29-strong line up in my area, and yet I generally come out in a rash if I do not vote. I want a 'None of the Above' option.

Where I live, my vote won't change a thing ...... but I shall still go against local trends and vote for what I believe in.

On the topic of voting, and re yesterdays PM, we applied for a postal vote for my disabled mother, and, surprise surprise, nothing has turned up. I was trying to make it simple for my mother, not far more complex, in have to find the returning officer, arrange for a duplicate vote.... it would have been easier to contact one of the candidates and get them to ferry her to the polling station!

In the interests of my own views on PR and Coalitions, I may very well cast my five votes for five different parties/independents today. ;o)

I will vote but am still torn between voting for the person or the party....and didn't go first thing as all the nominees (5 of them) were hovering outside the station; who needs to run that gauntlet at 8am!

Ah yes, voting, as predicted, No1 Son can't see the difference in the two colours on the bi-coloured voting slip. Buff and violet, I ask you, what kind of choice is that? Oh - I see, it's not the colour we have to vote for...........

Lurker - I'm sorry about your mother's experience of the postal voting system. In my own experience, I can't complain at all. Here in South Wales both SO and I have received all four (yes, four) voting forms etc., in time, this time and last time.

I realise that I might be in a minority, but it has helped me vote, as previously we have found it very difficult to get to the polling station for various reasons.

I feel strongly that the vote should be used, however agree with Belinda that there should be a "none of the above" options which sends a message in itself.
