Where in the world...

Eddie Mair | 14:17 UK time, Thursday, 24 May 2007

is Jim Muir, we wondered the other day, when we completely screwed up his location.

Now try this. Next week, PM will run some of Rob Broomby's latest adventure. Where in the world do you think he is?

    Hmmm, a true challenge.
Red-brick built structure suggests Northern Europe.

Rip-tide points to a coastal setting, or perhaps a tidal estuary.

Dull-ish weather in the lower phot, taken on Saturday. Brighter in the upper one, shot on Monday (assuming that the date on the pictures is accurate).

Hiking gear suggests somewhere perhaps a little remote or wild. Old Mercedes 4x4 with non-EU plates.

My guess is either Finland or Sweden, although it's anyone's guess what the story might be. Perhaps the current EU cheap labour legal ruling which affects both of those countries? Hard to see where the walking clobber comes in though.

Well, in the first one he's doing Grand Designs, and the second one looks like (sun) drenched sewage farm
How do you get to be a roving ´óÏó´«Ã½ reporter?, the romance, the allure, the constantly being shot at.......... having to wear funny shorts..... are you sure that's not Humph in disguise?

Interesting - somewhere in Germany perhaps. The data in the file says the pic was taken in July 2006

    Can that be true?

    Are these historic reports then?

Today is National Missing Children's Day. Many children in the UK go missing each year. These children have been ignored in comparison with the mass media frenzy which has followed this one case of Madeline McCann. If only all families could receive this level of help and support in finding their missing children regardless of who they are or their background.
