Tomorrow I will bombard the Blog

Eddie Mair | 10:28 UK time, Wednesday, 27 June 2007

with a series of pictures to go with Hugh's reports from what I'm not allowed to refer to on air as Honkers.

In the meantime, he's sent a snap from the noticeboard at the FCC - the Foreign Correspondents Club in Hong Kong.

Goodness, this makes my mair's nest of an office look tidy by comparison!

Foreign Correspondents' Club, eh? Is he hanging about downing cocktails and socialising rather than doing any real work then? Tsk tsk...

I thought you were confined to the Gazebo these days Fifi :-)

How can that be malicious - three times in a row!

Ed I, when you sign yourself off with "Aye", I have to stop myself from seeing "Ave" every time.

This is not a complaint, merely an observation of the synchronicity of Things, or some such.

I too was glad to see Alan Johnston's banner displayed.

...tell me, is "Honkers" the same as "Hooters"?

I only ask because, for some reason I've never understood, "Hooters" is a word I'm not allowed to refer to...

Charlie (8), I may not be Eddie but I say not! This issue has been thrashed around on an earlier thread...

Don't you mean 'thoroughly gone over' or 'taken in hand'?

This may be a first for you. Naughty Step, now. Going over hooters and taking them in hand, indeed!

I chuckled, so morally I may well have to join you there for a shandy or two.

Jonnie : we had to de-cover the gazebo on Monday as the wind was starting to carry it up the garden.

This time last summer, I was practically living in it, the weather was so lovely!
