Please don't cover this dross tonight, unless you're going to include the soundtrack from the one thing the woman is notorious for, THAT home video. It's the only thing that makes her even mildly noteworthy.

Or, if you must run it, please tell us so that we can turn over to Independent radio. Adverts would be preferable to hearing this story.

While I think about it; congratulations on not carrying anything about Big brother for a while. That's responding to user feedback!

How did they manage to put a hotel into a jail? They obviously don't have the overcrowding problem we have. Maybe there is something we can learn from the French.

All from Wikipedia (do we give a monkeys though)?

    Driving violations
In September 2006, Hilton was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of 0.08%, the minimum at which it is illegal to drive in California. Hilton's drivers license was subsequently suspended in November 2006, and in January 2007 she pled no contest to the alcohol-related reckless driving charge. Her punishment was 36 months' probation and fines of about $1,500.

On January 15, 2007, Hilton was pulled over for driving with a suspended license and signed a document acknowledging that she was not permitted to drive.

On February 27, 2007 Hilton was caught driving 70 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, again with a suspended license.

She also did not have her headlights on even though it was after dark. Prosecutors in the office of the Los Angeles City Attorney charged that those actions, along with the failure to enroll in a court-ordered alcohol education program constituted a violation of the terms of her probation.

On May 4, 2007 Hilton was sentenced by Judge Michael T. Sauer to 45 days in jail for violating her probation. Initially, Hilton planned to appeal the sentence, and supported an online petition asking California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for a pardon.

In response, various opponents started a petition to maintain the sentence. Both petitions attracted tens of thousands of signatures. Paris later switched lawyers, and dropped her plans to appeal.

I almost hesitate to ask but, how low can you get..?

Clearly, it would seem, not low enough!

Larry King got Paris for nothing!!!

Paris obviously smelt a large brown furry creature when you overdid things and brandished a fiver!

Eddie, you really MUST learn to negotiate in a meaningful way - in a way that informs people that you know and appreciate their true value...

So, we have now, apparently one "broad"-caster who's the King of Cool and another who's the King of Drool - but who's who..?

    Decisions, decisions...

    JPA;
Yes. I wil remain forever unconvinced though. And 'No' I don't think that 'New' Labour are out-and-out Socialists. They form a thin veneer over what is, at heart, a Socialist party though.

The acceptable face (to the middle classes) of Socialism. Blair's triumph was to make them electable at all. Under John Smith they might have struggled and certainly wouldn't have reached the levels of majority which Blair has achieved.

Now Blair is gone and Gordy steps in. What will he do? Which course will he steer? Will he be a Socialist, or a media manager? Will he fall back on the methods of style over achievement which have been sucessful for thirteen years, or will he nail his colours to actually doing something?

He's already mortgaged the future of the nation to PFI schemes, just so he can fiddle the accounts and balance the books. So it doesn't augur well.

You can complain about this lot being in thrall to big business, but if they are unwilling to explicitly raise taxation to pay for schools, hospitals, prisons, etc. then they need business to step in and do it for them. So they cannot afford to be old-fashioned tax-and-spend Socialists. Caught between their instincts and what the public will fund. What would you do?

Aye, it was far from obscene, but compared the experience of a documentary maker type in spending a fair amount of time with the Tory Pretender (very open and such) to trying to get even one chance to ask Gordo a question. Completely kept at bay by 'security'. Quite amusing if it weren't so revelatory. Worth a 'watch again'.
