D**n! I was just going to comment "but why is nobody talking back?" and DT pips me at the post. So then Eddie, along with seeing dead people, are you having a frog party?

...there's a certain ambiguity here Eddie...

When you say "late" do you mean:

    Late arriving..?

    Deceased..?

    Possibly, Pregnant..?

Are we, the Bloggers supposed to be - happy, sad or, neutral...

Yes, congratulations Eddie and Lissa! Will Froggers be helping to name the... erm... Frog-sprog?

As to the term "late". EM here appears to be using the term in the same way as my late father - except I use the term in only the one way that posts #1 - 3 also assume.

I use "late" in this context, as in "late" followed by a person's name &c, here to mean deceased, and only that meaning. And my father died some time ago.

Others use it to mean someone who has moved away from their active social circle, as in "departed", or even, to my surprise from my dictionary (which I consulted to see if the last was a described definition), "out of office".

As Lissa moved away to Derbyshire, and (very occasionally) continues to post on the Blog, I'm assuming it's one of the latter definitions that EM is using when he uses the term.

    Any interesting gossip, Eric?

Oh dear... since my previous post, more have appeared, and makes mine as if I put on my anorak before I started to post.... but actually, for various reasons, the use of the phrase "late" followed by a name &c is something I'm quite sensitive to.

...mind you Franz, if the result of this "union" is a fur covered (white, black, or brown) animal that wears yellow and brown checkered trousers and a scarf, there's no naming required...

    Clearly, it's Rupert... Or, Rupert's..!

Luckily I don't have to. Moses T Dog has kindly given a full account on the newer thread with pix.

The hardest part is explaining to spouses, friends, workmates etc that you're off to a reunion with people you've never met...

Miss Pooh Bear's lightning-fast sketch of me playing guitar, alongside my alter ego the notorious tartan-clad Flying M---e, adorns the wall above my computer.

Just to clear up some early confusion:

'The late Lissa' just refers to her no longer being a PM producer, but an ex-one.

Any other connotations were certainly not evident yesterday, and that wasn't grape juice in her glass!

Ffred - it was incredible how very little guessing was required! Sorry you were a-travelling.

Appy - oh it's a technical term, don't you know. Btw I do hope you didn't head off to the Naughty Corner when you left?

Gillian - but you'll have to runaway, for the next one! Unless you can persuade him to chauffeur you?

Val, to do the Fl!ckr link, log in to the site, then click on the "You" button near the top. This'll bring you up to the page that shows Your Photos. If you look at the web address you're now on, it'll be along the lines of wwwdotflickrdotcom/photos/your flickr name. This is the link you want. copy that (Hightlight the address, Ctrl+C). Next time you frog, post this into the Website box, and you're set!

Clever Val! I'm impressed that you've done 2 links today already. No stopping you now!

I'm embarassed to report that the way I did my link for the photos was to copy the source info which SO found on RJD's comment, onto a piece of PAPER, using a PEN, carry it into the music room where the other computer lives, & type it in. SO wanted to email it to me from the other computer so I could copy & paste it in, but I know my limitations...

Very resourceful Annasee, just the kind of thing I've resorted to today when trying to alphabetise a list of stuff, editing in Wiki.

Ap - This moving business is obviously not good for your brain - go and lie down for a bit and have a rest!

Leave it with me I'll think of something!

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ is often accused of being left inclined. I do not generally find this a problem but Martha Kearney's(??) interviews on the one o'clock news programme does encourage the critics.

The ineterviewer did not ask Ali Moraj??? the obviuos question: "Did you ask for a peerage?" He was allowed to escape with suggesting that the peerage was not the point or wording to that effect.

However when she came to the question of whether or not David Cameron or some other person authorised the inclusion of his name on the voting forms, she pursued the point relentlessly, questioning one Conservative after another. I do not blame her for doing so but it is strange that she did not pursue Mr Moraj? so keenly.
