On my way in

Eddie Mair | 10:43 UK time, Wednesday, 18 July 2007

I always pass this...it proclaims a part of TV centre where the names of big stars of yesteryear litter the terrace. Tomorrow, I'll pick out a name.

Sorry, Eddie: Who is Sylvia Dee? Did she write the song with which our old friends Morecambe and Wise are eternally linked?

Incidentally, just the thought of Our Eric makes me smile. And the sun's shining, too.

Hats of to the Hero of Morecambe.

I think she wrote it. And now I have the song in my head.

Nah, stick with "Eric" -- it suits you.

Thanks for today's picture. M & W were two of the warmest, consistently hilarious, entertainers I've seen and I didn't know (never thought aboout it) that Sylvia Dee composed the song associated with that wonderful act.

Couldn't be more apt that M & W's theme song and it's composer should form part of the "Beeb's" Star Terrace sign

Like Big Sister, I'm now wearing a big smile...
