Perhaps that 8 billion pound house will be a series of Eden Centre style domes to cover the entire country - that should stop us getting flooded.

I expect to hear lots of human angle stories on the flooding and all the various aspects covered.
Insurance - why people are without it?
Are the premiums unaffordable?
Why more could and should have been done to maintain flood defences.
I'd also like to find out if there is any truth as to whether money has been diverted from flood defence budgets towards other projects.
Hilary Benn gave a very wishy washy answer this morning on Today.
This is an ongoing national emergency - I hope PM treats it as such this evening.
