This is
not a place for film reviews. But The Simpsons Movie is very funny. And if you watch it you should stay till right at the end. Not least because an old friend of mine, Stuart McCowan, with whom I worked years ago in Glasgow, worked on the sound. Watch for his name to come up. He once made an audio advent calendar for me on Radio Scotland. And the sound effects for our live soap "Pelican Crossing". Clearly his career has gone absolutely nowhere.
This morning's pic was taken in the last hour, looking up at the sky above TV Centre. It's an odd colour unseen this summer.
Nice pic......carp spelling......
Ah, "outside" otherwise known as "the big room with the grey ceiling". I don't like this idea of painting the ceiling that strange blue colour.
It's bad enough that the ventilation never seems to work consistently and that single light fitting looks awfully bright against the blue.
I'll just stay here in this small room with no windows thanks.
The Stainless Steel Morloch.
Di you're right. I will now change it!
cheers Eddie......good to know you are on the ball this fine Monday morning!
....things can only get better as we rush headlong towards Friday....?
ttfn......startoftheweekelicious......init?
Oh, DI! You've done it now. He's been and gawn and changed it and now we can't have a laugh. Boo, hiss.
SSC, scary, innit? Blue stuff in the sky. Large yellow lightbulb appears occasionally over here. It's horrid and sting-y to look at. I'm having to wear these things called sum glasses - at least, I think that's what they called them.
All is not lost, though. It's autumn here, berries everywhere and I saw a pretty golden leaf on the pavement.
I don't want to jinx things, but here in South Oxon (5 miles from some of the floods of last week) I have actually seen a big yellow thing in the sky!
Fearless Fred (6):
...I have actually seen a big yellow thing in the sky!
Aaaeeeiii! It's the Vogon Constructor Fleet come to demolish the earth to make way for a HyperSpace by-pass!
Lucky I keep my towel handy by my office door. (True!)
This must be Monday. I never could get the hang of Mondays...
SSC: Does your towel have the words "DON'T PANIC!" emblazoned in large friendly letters on it?
And have you got your copy of the book handy, so you can submit your latest entry?

Suggestions for the shape of the main cloud? It looks vaguely face-like (rabbit?) - two holes in the cloud top right could be interpreted as eyes, and the hole centre left could be interpreted as the division between the neck (lower) and ears (upper).
Looking out of the window, the blue and white palette is replicated up here in Kidderminster, although I can't see the yellow light bulb from here. I've heard a rumour that a white night light has been thoughtfully provided for this evening.
My mother and I were so delighted by the sunshine we decided to skive off this morning and have a game of tennis... and could only get booked on an indoor court :-(
