I think I spy the ziggurats (sp?) of UEA in the bottom one - so that might be from Humph?
Humph, you really must stop frogging in your jimjams
Eddie - Well the first is easy. That's another one of those DVLA postcards that Aperitif has. She nicked 2 gross of them from a Post Office in Morpeth - but keep that to yourself.
btw that is the third car that woman has taxed in 7 months!
The second and third are a bit more difficult. I'd go Rachel G for the second and Humph for the last one.
Is this a phone-in competition or will the answer do here?
But seriously ...... Appy, are you benefitting from all these postcards about paying your TV licence I wonder?
1. RachelG
2. Appy
3. Humph- pretty sure that is the UEA there.
Humph managed to get a message out of the last trio (Pup liz ET) but I'm hanged if I can do this one:
Bedgatewater
Laptopviewpond
Gaze ahh! lake
nope, over to you Humph....
n
nikki: The message is clear - Laptop dancer comes in a rush.
#3 is from Humph....taken from Lat: 52:37:37N (52.627) Lon: 1:13:53E (1.2314) looking NE
RJD (3)
yep.. I would go Appy for #1 and Rache for #2.
..nice strapline BTW!
.....just a minor observation, but young lady in pic #1 is not actually 'in bed...' as the caption says....or am i being a bit picky?
The first one, not another TV 'researcher' pretending to be 14 in a chat room?
Oh darn, I didn't know that Appy had the TV Licence things. I just always associate her with an organic calming green, so picked that postcard for her.
Sorry for getting it wrong.
Belinda (12) - I have to ask - Why on earth would you associate Appy with "an organic calming green" ?
Hello! Anyone remember me? My workstuff has just fallen over so I'm playing hooky and it looks like I've found you lot having another competition?
Btw - for those who may be interested I'll post a bit of good news on the Beach, and a chilled magnum or two of the fizzy stuff on top of the NC Bar!
Last one there's a hairy kipper.......
Well, she can stamp my tax disc any day!
(Sorry ladies of the frog, just having a "bloke" moment there...)
Fearless (15) - You might have it the wrong way round. I think the lady is trying to get her's stamped!
The thid one, a posting by a Vice Chancellor surrounded by green students.
The legend:
'We are already green here. We shouldn't turn the campus into a Leylandi forest.'
Can I have my spare apostrophe back from that last posting?
Nope.
It's mine
Bless you for noticing RJD - saved me a job!!!
There's a grumpy greengrocer looking for something over there.
I know. Young lady is blogging, there's a log in the second one, and a frog in the rushes.
No, Frances O, it's definitely
"Laptop dancer comes in a rush."
Very well, Big Sis, if you like.
Where's the 'dancer comes in' come in?
P-U-S-H
Belinda (12) - I have to ask - Why on earth would you associate Appy with "an organic calming green" ?
For the same reason that I associate you with an vibrant orangey-red of course :)
Big Sis - What's with the P-U-S-H. You're not? Are you?
Okay, nikki (6), how about this? Sorry if you think that it is a bit contrived; I know that I do, and the truth is that it is!
The last postcard is, indeed, mine and is of the place where I work. I wrote to tell the PM team that as postcards are usually sent from where you are on holiday, it would be pointless to send one from where you work. Hence this is a pointless postcard. The body of water in the foreground is a man-made lake and in this part of the country man-made lakes are called Broads. The first postcard (I believe) comes from Appy and during the present run of pointless postcards is the second one sent on the Simple theme. So what we have is:
Simple II
Gate
Broad
Or: It is 鈥淪imple two Gate A Broad鈥
I will not return until the groaning stops!
H.
Belinda - vibrant orangey-red. - Well if I am that colour, what does that tell you about me? :o)
Do we all have colours, Belinda? I'd be interested to know what mine would be :)
Okay, so 2 minutes counts as malicious, does it?
FF - I think Belinda got my colour wrong - I reckon I'm beige!
Of course we do Fearless, you're a pale yellow!
Synesthaesia (sp) Belinda, ain't it fun?
Does that mean I'm in the Simpsons?!?!?
Thank you , Eddie. Mine is, indeed, number 2. It is a particularly pointless view as the photographer could have swivelled 180 deg and taken a much better and more dramatic photo of Skiddaw. I managed to increase its pointlessness by forgetting to post it until a couple of weeks after I returned from hols.
Would the regulars tell me whether they intend to start using the flickr place ever again?
Here is my postcard from cybersplace.
I have several hundred more of those DVLA cards. Is that Jodie Marsh, do you think?
Dr H: I use the flickering place all the time :)
Appy: I honestly wouldn't know, but she is rather cute ;-)
Doc H - where the h*ll you been?
Ap - I happened to be reading an Hello magazine today (don't ask why - there was a good reason!) and in it was a feature on Jodie Kidd. I'm pretty certain that the girl in the DVLA cards is her. Jodie Marsh is somebody completely different!
37 - No, I haven鈥檛 been at any hill.
Appeal for your help, froggers!
I am working on an anniversary project (among other things I'm a publisher) for the PM Blog.
Please, those of you who love the Frog, and who know Fifi enough to trust me, can you please send an email via the weblink attached to my name above, and I'll tell you more!
No obligation, and your privacy (as always) is guaranteed.
Look forward to hearing from you ... including lots who have dropped off the radar.
;o) Fifi
Jodie Marsh - strewth!
Oops, RJD (38&41), I think I've realsied who Ms Marsh is... Um, yes, I meant Jodie Kidd.
Ap - We've been in the bath, on a bus and in bed. Where else can we tax a car?
