Our Europe Editor Mark Mardell will report for us from Poland tonight.
I have been sent these photos of an event that happened during the making of the report. I have nothing to add.

Is he always followed by (i was going to say hareem) a group of ladies? No offence intended.
Eddie - Can we have a caption competition with the last of the photographs? I want to know what the girl on the left foreground is saying/thinking!
Poor Mark :-(
I can practically hear the slurping (and why does the blog keep forgetting me today?)
I do hope he wasn't sent to report on the recent discovery of a species of bog-flower that was previously thought to be extinct. So rare & special it only exists in the one SSI, in Poland.
Because it looks like he just sat on it, & I wouldn't give much for its chances of survival.
I think I’d want to fall down if there were all these young ladies to help me up.
(P.S. How on Earth do you edit Europe?)
Oh Eddie, you are very, very naughty. Now Mark will never let you drive the big fancy Mercedes!
What a good sport.
Well, at least everyone present at the time seemed to see the funny side of it! I can't tell for sure what mark's reaction was, but it looks like he's laughing to me!
Looks like they've just recovered him from a particularly terrifying bungee jump.
Adrenalin turns brown in moments of terror.
Si.
ah..... the old Polish Wodka drinking dance as performed by the noble Mark Mardell.....nice one Mark!

Dr H (6)
easy...if you edit the EU you're left with nothing but old rope?

How refreshing that at least 2 of his team (one visible and one behind the camera) didn't rush forward to help him out of the shuch!
Pictures on the wireless.
Marvellous.
Fifi
Definitely a 'brown trousers' moment...
Ask him for some top tips on getting to the top of the blog charts
Just heard the soundtrack on PM.
Was that a trace of a Sean Connery impression I detected in thanking Mark for his 'inssssightful' report?
Hee hee!

Bog Blog
It was nearly the perfect radio feature - news, interviews and squelchy sounds! :)
You did seem to enjoy reminding people of the photos, Eddie. Tut tut! :p
Annasee (5):
*grin*
or possibly:
"...sadly, Outdoor Chocolate Sitting never caught on in Britain..."
JB (16) Lovely!
And how does one get a job where you have to wander about the countryside with three lovely ladies and a vertically challenged dougal on a stick?
Of course, Mark's excuse will be that he was hot and needed to cool down...
Mud! Mud! Glorious mud!
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood!
Unfortunately, he hadn't counted on a member of his team having a digicam and Eric in her contacts (or cameraphone and Eric on speed-dial)...
Sound-recordist: oh Mark, you could've waited
Mark: well, I did ask you where the nearest bog was...
I thought he managed to pass over the incident quite well during the broadcast ;o}
RJD - I think she's thinking " Boy, am I glad this is radio - you can't take some broadcasters anywhere...and he can walk home too, it should dry off nicely"
P U S H ?
Val - I think she's saying: "It was only this morning that he said there would be no big Brown impact in Europe"
Someone got dix points from Ukraine for doing that on ´óÏó´«Ã½1 tonight!
That Mark Mardell always has the bottom line on Europe
Ooooo, Bet-ty, I think I wet myself!
RJD (26) Hahahaha :-)
