   Christianity is meant to be a religion that accepts everyone. I suppose the difficulty the the anglican communion has is it can't now find a common middle ground that the anti-gay bunch are happy with.

   Christianity is not meant to be a religion, but it is a way of life that accepts anyone who repents. When a branch of the Church doesn't even expect its leaders to repent, it is in dire straits.

   Some years ago there was a big debate about women priests. Many who opposed that idea left the C of E, with the result that it was left with a much greater % majority in favour than before.
   The Anglican Communion doesn't work quite the same way, but similar results could happen on an issue which is much more clear-cut Biblically than the ordination of women.
