As we move into September

Eddie Mair | 11:54 UK time, Monday, 3 September 2007

more summer postcards arrive - Witchi had spent a marvellous birthday wandering around Yorkshire Sculpture Park...and found Andy Goldsworthy to be "magical". The card description says "Andy Goldsworthy, Stone Room, Yorkshire sandstone quarried by Johnsons Wellfield, Huddersfield. Dry stone construction, carved holes, 2007. Photo: Jonty Wilde.

Mittfh says: "cynics argue this is the best view of Stourport, but I have seen better postcards than this that prove them wrong"..

And Mac sends this, from Chiswick High Road.

I sent you a ‘postcard’ today. If it arrives, you’ll wish it hadn’t.

Dr H I hope you haven't secreted razor blades around the edges

Dr H - did you refuse to put a stamp on it, so Eddie has to pay a £1 surcharge?

    (2) You’ll be happy to hear - there weren’t any razor blades.

    (3) In fact, I wasted a perfectly good stamp on this.

    (7) Is it true that I’ve forgotten how to count?

Hmm - what happened in the middle of mine? I'm sure that J shaped mark and the two below it weren't there when I posted it...

If it weren't for the other postcards I'd say it was a scanner error, but as they're OK, it must be the Royal Snail...

Oh, and for added humour value, the card's made by a company called "Beez Kneez" (I kid you not!)

Well, I'm delighted at the effect sending it has had on my PC. (The picture is taken from what used to be Maria Foubert's ice cream parlour there)

'Cos the rain looked a grat deal heavier when I slipped the card into the box.

So thank you Snail Mail or virtual processors.

PS. Has anyone got a PC through just addressed 'PM' or just 'Eddie Mair' yet?

I'm aiming for one just addressed 'Eddie'. I'll try a few today, but I don't think I'll put a stamp on any of them. They're bound not to get thru'.
