In the last half hour we recorded an interview with Bono about Luciano Pavarotti. You can hear it in full on the programme - and we may well post it here before then.

    Having fed the hungry, rescued the poor and saved the world from global warming and all before breakfast, what's next on Bono's 'things to do' list?

    Raise another Tenor?

    I remember going to hear Pavarotti sing at the Royal Opera House in London. He didn't like me joining in with his songs I can tell you. But still, what I'd give now for just one more encore.

    On Pavarotti.

    Bono on Pavarotti.

    I really read that, and you weren't being ironic at all, were you.

    May we likewise look forward to:
    * Brian Kant on Iraq
    * Oliver Postgate on youth criminal justice
    * Esther Rantzen reading the Weather?

    Will Eddie talk over the end of Nessun Dorma - thinking the mic channel was closed - as Jim Naughtie did this morning :-)

    I remember the first time I heard Miss Sarajevo; a beautiful piece of music. Seeing it live (via a tv screen) I was blown away by the difference between a singer and a Singer.

    As I recall they worked together a lot with the War Child charity, very interested to hear what Mr Hewson has to say.

    ....i know its silly but its fun and RL needs cheering up!

    Fifi (4) I think the reason they've interviewed Bono is that they did duet in the mid 90s, both on "record"(or should I say CD?) and in concert. In a way, I guess it's a typical of the "looking at a story from a slightly different angle" that PM does....

    Who else has been humming Nessum Dorma all day? In respect not maliciously!

    Excellent interview indeed, very moving too. St Bono of Killiney Hill still drives me nuts though.....
