    According to the school website - hosting 'AQ' next week, the presenter will be David Dimbleby - has Jonathan been informed? - or Eddie come to that!

    The DAB display yesterday evening - whilst I caught a couple of minutes of Eddie - told me it was Jonathan Dimbleby!

    I've wondered why the Saturday PM crowd (often Sequin, after all), don't blog. I don't know the situation, but it may be that there are rather less staff (and the show is shorter), so there would not be time for much blogging.     You may remember the blog Eddie wrote when some newspaper listings mixed up David and Jonathan for AQ. Including a photo of David. Eddie urged Jonathan to sue (the Indie, I think), for everything they had. Interestingly enough, that evening it was actually hosted by the stand-in, the late Nick Clarke. Interesting how history has repeated itself with this c*ck-up! (the incident is reported on ).

    Perhaps Eric should sue the school for everything it has....or more sensibly email them to point out that they are getting a rather better chairman next Friday. I'm one of those who does not think that much of the chairmanship of JD, and had written to Feedback asking for NC to be made the main chairman, as he did the job so much better, as well as AA.

    imac (13), is that a reference to Chris Evans?

    Is iPM going to go out on Sunday at 17:00? I've not seen an answer to that question I posed on the initial naming thread. Although I cannot listen at that time on Sunday (family commitments), it would make a lot of sense.

    That might be a place to start. Seems to me that the cost of paying people do do the job properly would be offset against the cost of all those people staying in hospital for longer with diseases they'd caught when they were in there.

    I speak as one who has had to visit three different hospitals in three different towns over the past couple of years, over several weeks for each. During that time I have noted things like stains on the walls in the corridors being there for weeks on end, urine samples left in the patients' loo for twenty-four hours at a time, dust under beds not being moved, bits of food on the curtains round patients' beds for the entire visit of that patient.... I am somehow unimpressed. That's *before* I start to think about the way that doctors and nurses don't wash their hands between one patient, or one ward, and the next: that's another can of iinfectious worms.

    I think the answer is to make an offer to the Iraqis (Iraquis?) in France. Do a decent job of cleaning our hospitals for two years and you get to stay. Do a bad job and we send back to Basra airport to clean for the troops. Then we leave you with the translators to be killed when our troops leave.
