Appy -
Antsome; as I say when in Cornwall.
That's Aperitif's own handwriting on that first card. Not her accent though - but she does speak in a equally odd way. I'm really glad I don't have an identifiable accent.
how common......a frog
How dreary - to be - Somebody!
How public - like a Frog -
To tell one's name - the livelong June -
To an admiring Bog!
(Assumes best Lady Bracknell voice.)
(Note to reader: this is an over-acting Lady Bracknell and the following line is not to be delivered in the understated manner of Dame Judy Dench in the mov, err, the flim. I do not have her presence to carry off understated.)
A common frog?
Shume mishtake shurely?
Emily, how lovely (and yes it does scan to The Yellow Rose of Texas too :) )
I'd like to think the warning sign had a comma missing and was placed to face the field:
Tek care lambs, ont road
Not even the right accent for the Lakes is it?
Gillian (7), I hope so too :-)
..I see my picture is being used...
I don't mind not being asked for consent, but I DO MIND being referred to as "Common..."
