Do you think some people need to keep a better sense of perspective?

This call to the listener log:

THINKING ALLOWED

"I want the ´óÏó´«Ã½ to finish with Laurie Taylor. He has the most patronising, ghastly and irritating voice. I was devastated to find out that you have given him a Twelve O'Clock spot on a Sunday night. It totally ruined my summer."

Generally, in real world, seasons are ruined because of excessive weather pattern or some devatating personal development (like loss of a friend or family). Glad to know summers for some can be so fragile.

It is so tempting to write something here, but as I keep getting bounced I don't think I should.

I wrote something about Banbury earlier, but doubt if it got through.

It's just a conspiracy by other blog owners to keep down the total number of entries on Eddie's blog. Were it not for the problems, there'd be over 100,000 by now.

    Dear Feedback,

I have spent all morning trying to send a message to the furrowed brow, constantly being rebuffed by the 502 message. Now, when I check again, I see it has arrived twice making me look like a twit. This has totally ruined my summer.

PS I have a patronising, ghastly and irritating voice. Can I blame this on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ as well?

OK, so the frog was behaving itself when I posted yesterday...is it still behaving itself today?

Personally, I haven't experienced a 502 for a while. I don't know whether it's my Firefox setup or my impatience, but if nothing's happened 30 seconds after submitting, I escape and try again until either (a) it gets through or (b) I get a comment submission error.

    Attempt:
    1: Cancelled after 60s waiting.
2: Cancelled after 30s waiting - I knew yesterday was too good to be true!

Three copies here, and two on the refuge.
    Talk about unintentional spamming!

As you probably gather from above, each time I tried to send it, Firefox was still claiming it was "Waiting for www.bbc.co.uk..." after 30 seconds, so I cancelled, updated the post, then tried resubmitting.

Oh well, at least there weren't any "Comment Submission Error"s...

(Attempt 3/5 - given the way this blog is misbehaving at the moment, hopefully at least one of these five cancelled submissions will make it!)

15:26 now, after 90 minutes "loading, Waiting for bbc.co.uk...."
    15:55 still "Waiting for bbc.co.uk..."
