Its Harry Potter I think.
Is it Princess Di?
Sid
I hope that this is not the reason why Sequin is presenting the programme this week, rather than Eddie.
H.
Guy Fawkes, the man from Maastricht?
Big Bird?
Is it the girl from Ipanema...?
Easy-peasy! That's Obi-Wan Kenobi. Can I claim my £5?
Hi Sequin,
Easy this one. It's Eddie he's a real hottie!!
Oh.......my...........God..........its.............Ming
Not sure about the guy in the fire (someone in their school blazer perhaps?), but the one on the right with the flashgun was in Paris 10 years ago if reports are right...
Reality TV going up in smoke.
Peter (11) We can only hope!
Actually, it looks a lot like the "Angel" that Lisa digs up in an episode of the Simpsons that turns out to be an advertising gimmick for a nearby mall....
With a bit of luck it's Brian Aldridge.
As I've already said (but it decided to stall), this is the Ghost of Christmas Present ;o)
FF (12)
...you.......you......you mean to say the Angel wasn't a real one.....oh my happyness bubble has been burst...how could you..after all I have done........:(
DIY, Let me buy you a drink back at the NCMB in the beach as compensation....
No, no, it's John Travolta in 'Saturday Night Fever.'
I've just looked at 'Properties' and it seems to be a burning effigy of the Pope.
Where from, for Pete's (St Peter's?) sake?
Do people still carry out this 16th-century (for want of a better word at the moment) rite?
I'm not a Catholic, but this does make me shudder.
Frances O: If it is an effigy of the pope, it may well be in Lewes, where traditionally this is carried out every bonfire night.
Cripes. Thanks, Big Sis.
(Just get automatic yucks at religious intolerance. I'd go so far as to say I find it hard to tolerate ;o) )
FrancesO: You may like to find out more about the bonfire society in Lewes which continues to burn the Pope by clicking on my name.
Anyone who hasn't been to the traditional activities for Bonfire Night in Lewes would perhaps find it all very mystifying, but the town has particular historical links with Guy Fawkes and also with the problems of religious intolerance. Far too complex for me to explain simply, but the weblink explains much of it.
Nowadays, it is an extraordinary night out, and has a quite pagan feel to it. Needless to say, it is extremely well attended and anyone thinking of going should leave their car behind and make sure they are prepared for big crowds and a lot of standing around.
I seem to remember that Lewes has a large memorial on a hill to commemorate the martyrs under Mary. This was erected some time in the earl 20th century, which seems to me to suggest that the good people of Lewes have a very Long memory.
Big Sis (21) Is there nothing you can do to stop the bonfire society in Lewes from igniting the pope by clicking on your name?
Big Sis (21) If the bonfire society in Lewes keeps igniting the pope by clicking on your name, is there nothing you can do to stop it?
Vyle: Will the attached help?
'Buffy, duck!'
'What duck? There's a duck?'
Big Sister, i am not at all sure that belting the Pope with a floating plastic duck is going to be a long-term solution to
well, to anything much, really.
Mind you, one might get a lot of personal satisfaction from walloping a certain highly-paid ´óÏó´«Ã½ type with a duck. Or with the bucket. Or with the Martyrs' Memorial.
Hmmmmmmmmmm. I need to think about this.
It's Monty Burns bringing us 'PEACE'
