If we were allowed to play games in the office

Eddie Mair | 13:54 UK time, Tuesday, 20 November 2007

is the sort of thing we would play. I have NOT played this. I cannot stress that highly enough.

But I'm guessing that if I did my highest score would be 456. If today's editor played, it might be 859.

What's yours?

Oh dear, Eddie. I can feel the productivity of the nation decreasing as I type. Isn't it amazing how addictive a simple game can be?

Thanks Eddie, another excuse to avoid working. Lets not tell Alistair Darling about it though, he needs to concentrate at the moment.

And, I thought... well, I thought...

Closely modelled on the Today proggie's Naughtie Step, nae doot. (Anyone see last night's TV thingie on it? The prog, not the step)

Big Sis, I dived straight in (several times. Crash!) and got mashed up a lot before I realised where this could lead (see above for proof!). So I may read the instructions.

    Or I might resist.

Only about 5 years after most schoolchildren - it's one of those flash games that crop up everywhere, leading to a constant game of cat-and-mouse between the pupils (finding the games) and the teachers/technicians (adding the URLs to their filter list). Sixth formers were particularly fond of this one...

AFAIK, the two most common at the moment are:
The Adrenaline Challenge (trust me, the title's ironic)
    Line Rider

Both the originals, and various modified versions.

mittfh @ 26, it is very very unkind ever to point out to media folk that they are trumpeting as 'new' something many other people have known about for years.

In the same way one shouldn't say 'I told you so' when they notice the security of huge databases, or rather the lack of it. Let's just be glad that they *do* finally catch up, eh?
