Oh good, let's hear about how dreadful the health service is in the US. Don't read any pro-letters. I never had anything but good results from it and at least the hospitals I saw were clean and efficient.
While it may be true that eating bacon and red meat may give you cancer, people should not forget the chemicals that go into curing the bacon. I think even red meat is not immune form chemicals.
Even the animals while they are alive may be pumped full of chemicals.
Lets get things into perspective, I believe its the chemicals which make people ill and give them cancer!
Many people can't afford to buy organic. If you can then do! If not, I suggest enjoy your bacon buttie along with a fantastic coffee or tea.
By the way, coffee is more toxic than many pesticides. That's not going to stop me from enjoying one.
Everything in moderation.
Ipods and marathon running; both are a 'waste of space' !
The report: the same !
So THIS is the "Glass Box" that you all keep exhorting us to visit?
Well, I don't have an ipod and I don't run. I don't care much for coffee; tea's my tipple of choice to accompany a bacon or ham sandwich. As for the NHS, I must admit that I haven't a lot of experience of hospitals, but my GP is well worth more than a million times his salary, whatever it is.
That's what I think. So there!
Hello Hazel @ 5, welcome. You have hit a Glass Box that is rather small; sometimes they get really quite heated, though not often to the point of flame. Sometimes there is more controversial stuff in the Furrowed Brow, or in random threads that start out in a simple way and get side-tracked, if argument is what you want...
I hope you have fun, anyhow.
Where's my post addressed to Hazel from days ago then? It may have been silly but it wasn't offensive in the slightest!! Harrumph!
