Presumably, next time that "the Blog appears to be broken again" we should ask if it is "something wrong with the violins?" Thank you for sharing that with us, Mr. Moore.

Lovely.
Can we have a new blog for Christmas?
Brilliant, brilliant, sketch. Wonderfully written and faultlessly executed. In my opinion, the VERY Best of all the fabulous work the late, "Great", Morcambe & Wise did in their outstanding, long, television careers.
And, Andre Previn; one of the world's greatest classical musicians... What a star! How he kept his face -straight, I shall never know... Clearly, he could have had a career as a comedy straight-man, provided that is, he gave-up his job as a London Transport Bus Conductor!
Y'know, we were so lucky to have had those entertainers (can I also include the Two Ronnies as well..?) AND, so lucky lucky to have been alive to see them...
Comedy just doesn't come any better...
Aperitif@1
I see from my list, one's been requested.
Question is, do the "Froggers" deserve it..?
Eddie (0):
Many, many thanks for this! It's one of my favourite comedy sketches, but somehow I haven't seen it since the 1970's.
Santa (4):
You mean have we been naughty or nice?
Do you have a list?
If so, you've probably been drinking too much. You'd better straighten up before the 24th!
"I'm playing all the right notes - but not necessarily in the right order."
Brilliant - and then right at the end Andre proves he's in on the joke...
I've seen that clip numerous times on the TV - still brings a smile to my face.
Santa (4), yes, we have been patient beyond belief. I have been extra good actually -- can I plesae have Jack Sparrow in my stocking?
The real joy in viewing this, is watching the faces of the members of the orchestra as Andre Previn and Eric Morecambe spark off each other. Priceless.
I was there at the time and can still remember our incredulous delight as "Andrew Preview" joined in the fun. Thanks, Eddie!
Aperitif (7) - Well, if you are extra good then I'm afraid Jack Sparrow wouldn't be suitable for you. Perhaps a
would suffice in the meantime.
Unless you mean that you have been extra good at being bad . . .? .? . . Hmmm, I might be able to help you if that is the case.
Aperitif @ 7
If you're refering to the "Jack Sparrow" of "Pirates of the Caribbean" fame, I can't help you. He's fictional.
I, only deal in reallity.
Now, were you to ask for Mr Johnny Depp in your stocking (sweat now breaking-out on my brow at the thought of Aperitif in stocking/s), that'd be a different matter entirely. Mind you, you've left it a bit late for this year. I've had thousands of requests for him. Poor fellow. But why should I worry? As my American friends say, "way-to-go"
Matters of reality Aperitif, now bring me to your request for a new blog. Supplying a new Blog is not a problem. However, a new "trouble-free" Blog (which may be what you actually want) may not be immediatly possible - the Elves are still trying to resolve various issues. Anyway, I was going to say "Be good and see what Santa brings". Although, having seen your request for Jack Sparrow, I'd maybe best forget that remark.
SSC @ 5
I most certainly do have a list, two in fact, and following your outrageous remark about my drinking habit/s you have now been erased from one and added to the other! Ho, ho, ho
Appy: Jack Sparrow in his stockings, surely? If he could fit into your stocking, he'd be dam' near useless to you .....
Of course, Sean Bean is welcome in my sack any time :o)
Sanity Clause (10), THANK YOU! I challenge any straight, grown woman not to drool at that image *sigh*.
Santa Claus (11), Jack Sparrow fictional?!?! NO!!! I won't believe it -- after all, that's what some people say about you, you know... What will you be leaving out for Bournemouth's best B&B proprietors this year?...
Sis (12), I'll put an extra big one out 'specially :-)
