    So, this is it?

Why didn't I have to log-in? Why's everything look the same?

More importantly, why's the Blog working? Didn't think it was supposed to do that

Charlie - I was beginning to wonder if I would spot the tumbleweed drifting past the blog this morning - but it appears that things are on the up!

Hey, this Blog's working... How'd that happen?

It's been broken so long, I've forgo.... Which reminds me of something attributed to Joan Rivers:

"It's been so long since I've had sex, I've forgotten who ties up whom."

    Dear all,

This may be my last posting in this guise.

If we have to register again, on the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s message-board, it's likely someone else has already registed my nom-de-frog for other purposes. (sob).

So keep your eyes open for a similarly grumpy old fogey on the new blog, and it'll be me.

You're apparently amongst the best of company

I overheard a chat between two "Footsie 100" Chairmen a few years ago. They were discussing management styles

One had said to the other that he "...favoured the "Mushroom" method."

When asked what that might be, he replied "I keep my people in the dark and feed them Bullsh*t"

Naught step eh..? Look, I don't want to get too excited but you've reminded me of my colleague's remark (see below) last week so, would the "naughty step" include, I wonder (whisper) ...spanking..?

"You don't appreciate..." he said "... a lot of stuff in school until you get older

Little things; like being spanked every day by a 30's-something woman

Stuff you pay good money for in later life..."

I wonder, would "PM" attached to your "guise" be worth considering..?

guys - we can retain our nicknames - they don't have to be the same as our (possibly new) Member Names.

They are the same by default but can be changed.

Now, if someone says (somewhat legitamately)
"Oi - I'M Deepthought!! I've been Deepthought on this technology blog for 10 months..."
    you can answer
"Fair enough - I've been DT for a heckuva while too. Can we co-exist? Do you ever post ruminations on PM? Never heard of it eh? fair enough. If you ever do pop over and leave a comment just be aware that some answers to it may be a bit "familiar" with you!"

I know I know, for some people this is gonna be tricky if they're tarting around (I mean sharing their joy) with all the other blogs, but for some (most) the two nickname users may never cross paths (they haven't up till now...)

I guess its just a problem if the person is a bit of a prat, ad you're embarrassed if anyone mistakes the two of you
