The Imam mosque at night and the smaller Sheikh Lotfollah mosque by night and at dawn. They were both built nearly five hundred years ago.

The square is called Naksh-e-Jahan, the Pattern of the World. It was built for Shah Abbas the Great, as the jewel in the crown of his capital city. And here are some shots from closer to, and inside, the Imam mosque.
