Tuesday morning.
Fifi sends this postcard
of Rackwick in Hoy in Orkney..."slight tang of seaweed"...
and these beachy photos:
Meanwhile...the credit crunch. Martin Phillips emails: "Isn't it time the ´óÏó´«Ã½ came clean and admitted that the collapse of Lehman Brothers was wholly a result of their wreckless acceptance of I.O.U.'s from the Ambridge TEA scheme which have now proved worthless."
And Jonnie writes: Rupert and Dolly have read the Crufts thread with interest but decided that after Robert Peston's gloomy predictions they would find their own solution to the British winter together!
1240 UPDATE: so I suppose it's now Tuesday afternoon: Big Sis says "Lady Sue describes Monty as 'divine'. I describe him as naughty, but lovable. Here he is at Montgomery Castle last month. Who needs a pedigree? ;o)"
And Lady Sue sends:
"Mr. Darcy (Darcy) and Miss Elizabeth Bennett (Bess) the two "Border Collies" (in the kitchen, Bess on one of their two armchairs by the rayburn);
One of them as adorable puppies in the woods
Roger the Lodger - the "Bassett Hound" (solo portrait);
and the sadly, dear departed (wait for it) Eddie the Wonderdog - my beloved "Australian Terrier" - who was so called because he did no tricks whatsoever."
WEDNESDAY UPDATE: Valery P sends: "As mentioned on the Tuesday Morning Thread this Tuesday afternoon = Sam jumped on my knee while I was looking at the dog photos (and Fifi's postcard), and here are some dodgy photos of him. Dodgy because I had to stay balanced on the gym ball while I leaned back far enough to get him in focus (great for the abs I expect)."
