The Joy of Snow.
(is this the biggest snowman in Britain? Spotted in the Holland Park area of London. Standing with 2 year old Lorenzo.)
If you have a different view of the "snow chaos" and the "vast loss to the economy"...why not add a comment?
We asked in the PM newsletter about the joy the snow may have brought you. And we got lots of emails along the lines of this one from Chris...who will also be on the programme tonight.
"I am assistant headteacher of a secondary school in Hertfordshire, and I am getting increasingly irritated and depressed at the number of miserable people telling us how much having a day off because of snow 'costs'.
Surely we should see a day like yesterday - and today - as an opportunity for learning outside the classroom. My wife (also a teacher) and I went for a wonderful long walk around the village where we live, and encountered lots of children and young people having a fantastic time, which they will probably remember long after they would have forgotten whatever they should have been doing in school.
If education in school was able to recreate the kind of fun and excitement that I witnessed yesterday, the learning profile of the entire nation would be radically different. It's something to aspire to."
And we've been sent this too: "I am a 70 year old Grandma/going on a teenager, and I whizzed down my garden in the snow on a sledge, at the request of my Grandchildren, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, haven't done that for years, I found it most liberating. From C Cook (Somerset)"
