Keith Waterhouse has died.

The author and playwright Keith Waterhouse has died at the age of eighty. For years he was a columnist at the Daily Mirror and Daily Mail and was best known for his book, Billy Liar, which was published in 1959. He also wrote Budgie and Worzel Gummidge for television and was awarded a CBE.
