Alexander Faris is the man who composed the Upstairs Downstairs theme that PM listeners have been improvising with for months.

Recently, I visited Sandy at his home to talk about his composition, and to play him some of our listeners' efforts. He was also kind enough to play for us.

You can hear the interview on Monday's PM. And as you'll hear ext week, the story doesn't end there. By the way, Sandy's newly published (very good) book is "Da Capo Al Fine: A Life in Music".
