Nigel Wrench writes: "Here at the door of the camper van he's using to travel the country, is this year's official election artist, the photographer Simon Roberts.

You might have heard him being introduced on Saturday PM a few weeks back. His idea is called The Election Project, and he's travelling with his trademark large format 5x4 camera.

Logistics, maps, technology (and Eddie) permitting, I'll be with him live on PM this evening somewhere between Glasgow and Perth.

(He travelled 75,000km through Russia for a project called Motherland so this should be a doddle, surely)

Mr Roberts is planning to include election pictures from other people in the final exhibition, which will go into the official art collection of the House of Commons."
