Oil.
Tonight, Andrew Bomford reports for PM from Alabama on the aftermath of the oil spill.
He's sent this for the blog:
"Troops from the Alabama National Guard are frantically building a wall around key parts of Dauphin island off the Alabama coast to keep the oil off the beaches. These structures are normally used in Iraq to make blast walls, but here they are filling them with sand and pouring a chemical on top which is designed to solidify when it comes into contact with oil.
Empty Beaches on this beautiful resort island. Hotel owners and local businesses are very worried because holidaymakers have been cancelling their trips here for fear of the oncoming oil slick."
will feature in tonight's report.
