Here's our fortnightly look at what's coming up under the red button...

Blue Peter: Behind the Scenes

Blue Peter Nine months into the job and Blue Peter presenter Joel Defries looks pretty comfortable in front of the camera - you might say he's a natural. But how would he fare if asked to step over to the other side of the lens? Well Red Button viewers are about to find out as he takes the reins of C´óÏó´«Ã½'s flagship programme for the first time, directing his fellow presenters and studio crew. This might just be Joel's toughest challenge yet.

Comedy Extra

´óÏó´«Ã½ ComedyWith a raft of exciting new comedy airing on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two in 2009, digital viewers in the mood to tickle the red buttons on their remotes can keep the laughter going after the show has finished.

Meanwhile we'll be rolling out the red carpet for the new series of That Mitchell and Webb Look. Grab your digital remote every evening as Robert and David introduce a gaggle of sketches you won't see in the main show along with a unique series of animations from their radio show commissioned just for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button.

Springwatch Unsprung

Springwatch Picture the Springwatch team in the pubÂ… Relaxed presenters chatting about the show just gone. Members of the audience showing each other their spectacular photos and videos of spring, sharing tales of the wonderful wildlife they've seen on their doorstep and asking the presenters those animal questions they'd always wanted to know the answers to. This is Springwatch Unsprung.
OK, it won't actually be coming from the pub, but for 15 minutes every night immediately following the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two show Springwatch will continue broadcasting live from Pensthorpe in Norfolk. Only this time the audience will be the stars not the creatures.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5live: Mayo and Kermode's Film Review from Edinburgh

Mayo and KermodeFor 20 years now Simon Mayo and Mark Kermode have been disagreeing about the latest film releases on air. And this March things reached a whole new level as they locked their critical horns in Leeds in front of a live audience.

Now, with plaudits from the last excursion still ringing in their ears, the duo are repeating the trick at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. This time the event will be filmed with the best bits shown on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button. Simon's even promised the Good Doctor Kermode an appearance by a silver screen celebrity of "substantial size". Whether he was talking physical dimensions or international renown we're not sure, but we'll be pressing red to find out!

Friday 19th - Sunday 21st June, 7.30pm - 4am daily
Sky, Virgin & Freeview
(not available on Freesat)

Ashes to Ashes: Remember the 80s

Ashes to Ashes The second series of Ashes to Ashes may be drawing to close, but that's no reason to give up on the 80s!
Following the final episode digital viewers can fire up their red button for one last trip down memory lane and watch some criminally good hits of the day. From Duran Duran's Rio, Human League's Mirror Man, to Bananarama's It Ain't What You Do and Come on Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners, we've run the gamut of pop classics this series.
Even If you don't remember the songs you can relive those "classic" fashions and oversized hairdos from the decade of decadence.
