Here's our fortnightly look at what's coming up under the red button...
Reading & Leeds 2009
Here at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button this August Bank Holiday weekend we're packing our bags and heading for Reading to bring you best of this year's festival.
Presented by Radio 1's Huw Stephens, we'll be covering the cream of the crop from the Main Stage and the Radio 1/NME Stage. Each day will also feature either Jo Whiley, Daniel P Carter or Mike Davies talking to their favourite band and exploring the Reading site, plus some surprise acoustic and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing tracks.
Live festival coverage runs from 7pm to 1am on Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August while from Bank Holiday Monday to the following Friday we'll bring you a new standout set each day from the best bands at the festival.

Asian Network Presents: A Summer of Melas
From East London to Edinburgh, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Asian Network has been travelling the length and breadth of the country to bring listeners and website viewers the best of this summer's melas.
Now for a week, digital viewers will have the chance to catch some specially
filmed performances on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button. Press red to watch standout sets
from Sukshinder Shinda, Imran Khan, Mumzy, Outlandish and many more fantastic
acts.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Proms 2009: Maestro Cam
For the 2009 Proms season ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button is introducing
a brand new feature: 'Maestro Cam'.
Over the course of five concerts the service will give digital viewers a
unique insight into the art of conducting. A dedicated camera will capture
the conductor's every intonation and flourish while a series of experts
including Matthew Rowe, Peter Stark and Jason Lai as featured on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two's
Maestro series provide commentary discussing the gestures and the
orchestra's response.
Among the conductors involved in this project are Daniel Barenboim, Vasily
Petrenko and Ilan Volkov.

The Football League Show*
As the 2009/10 season football season gets under way, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button won't
be taking its eyes off the ball with a host of programming to keep fans
up to date with the action until the silverware is lifted in May.
Mark Lawrenson kicks things off as he delivers his verdict on how the 20
Premier League clubs will fare. This year with Manchester United and Liverpool battling for the record number of league
titles and Manchester City looking to gate crash the so-called Big Four, Lawro's
insights should prove fascinating.
Meanwhile each Saturday in Final Score Gabby Logan and her guests will be
monitoring the afternoon's action to keep viewers up to date with all the
goals as they go in.
And of course The Championship and Leagues One and Two are already in full
swing. Following the transmission of The League Football Show on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One,
digital viewers can watch looped coverage on Red Button until noon on Sunday.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button heads to the Oval for the final test of this captivating
Ashes series with a revitalised Australia only needing a draw to retain
the coveted urn. Commentary comes courtesy of the Test Match Special team
led by Jonathan Agnew which will be supplemented by live scorecards and
statistics.

- Athletics: World Championships*
Digital viewers will be able to press the red button for coverage of the 12th IAAF World Championships in Berlin where Christine Ohuruogu,
Usain Bolt and Tyson Gay will be among the Olympic heroes looking to show
that they're still the world's best in their respective disciplines.
The service will show looped repeats of ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two's live coverage and a daily 20 to 30-minute highlights programme in which viewers can catch up on all the very best action, from both the morning and evening sessions.

- F1: European & Belgian Grands Prix*
F1 fans can customise their viewing experience via the red button with access
to all on-track sessions including Friday and Saturday practice and qualifying
with re-runs of classic GPs also available in the build-up to the main event.
On race day itself a choice of three streams will be available featuring
split-screen in-car camera feeds, leaderboards and rolling highlights, with
the option to listen to either network or ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live commentary. After
the end of each race on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One there will be an additional interactive
programme analysing the weekend's events and picking up views from the paddock
with race highlights often available the following day.

As Valentino Rossi looks to defend the title he comfortably won last year
join ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button trackside for every twist and turn of the 2009 championship.
This season coverage has been expanded to include Saturday afternoon qualifying
sessions, re-runs and highlights alongside the existing race day coverage
and post-race MotoGP Extra programme.

The Super League Show offers viewers another chance to catch up with the
weekend's Rugby League action.

This summer Nick Knowles invites digital viewers
to deploy their skill and judgement to outguess his studio contestants.
Over three exciting rounds two family teams will face a series of unusual,
fun and occasionally head-spinning brain teasers. Their mission is simple:
guess closest to the correct answer. Meanwhile Red Button viewers get the
chance to weigh-up their own on-screen options. Will your guesses earn YOU
living room bragging rights? It's just a question of judgement.
The National Lottery: Guesstimation showcases the Dream Number draw which
raises funds for many of the venues that will be hosting events at the London
2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Comedy Extra: Taking the Flak
2009 has been a great year for comedy with a raft of exciting new shows airing on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two. And digital viewers in the mood to tickle the red buttons on their remotes have been able to keep the laughter going after the programmes have finished.
The latest show to get the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button treatment is Taking The Flak,
the comedy-drama covering the progress of a small African war through the
eyes of the journalists sending the nightly reports back for the news. Every
week under the red button, Comedy Extra will be featuring new material and
exclusive footage from the Flak location in Africa.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Northern Ireland: Tall Ships
When the Tall Ships last visited Northern Ireland in 1991, there was no peace process, no Agreement and no paramilitary ceasefires. The crews who disembarked in Belfast's docklands were warmly welcomed by a community desperate for peace and on the cusp of change.
On August 14th the Tall Ships event returns to Belfast and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Northern Ireland will have all hands on deck to bring regional viewers live coverage from Queen's Quay.
Following the television special, digital viewers in all regions can press the red button to see how ´óÏó´«Ã½ Northern Ireland reported the visit at the time and then celebrate Belfast's most famous ship, the Titanic, in a documentary charting Mike McKimm's undersea voyage to the wreck of the doomed liner.
