Here's our fortnightly look at what's coming up under the red button...

´óÏó´«Ã½ Electric Proms 09

Electric Proms 09 ´óÏó´«Ã½ Electric Proms returns for a fourth year on October 20th, with a new format based around the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s four popular music networks. Radio 1, Radio 2, 1xtra and 6 Music will each host days at the festival, with the programming based around each station's musical playlists and featuring headline acts: Robbie Williams, Dizzee Rascal with a live band and orchestra, Doves with the London Bulgarian Choir, as well as Dame Shirley Bassey and Smokey Robinson both with the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Concert Orchestra.
Digital viewers can watch these festival headline performances unfold on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button between 21st and 31st October.

In addition, Sky & Virgin Media viewers will also be able to see Florence and the Machine performing as part of the New Music Shorts initiative. Seminal Manchester band Magazine will be gracing the Main Space with Doves, while the finest UK Hip Hop, RnB, Garage, Dancehall and Drum & Bass will be represented at 1xtra's After Party.

A profile of the headline artists and the New Music Shorts initiative can also be seen on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button from 7.30pm on 18th October, until the evening of Tuesday 20th October.

Comedy Extra: Never Mind the Buzzcocks / The Thick of It

´óÏó´«Ã½ Comedy Extra2009 has been a great year for comedy with a raft of exciting new shows airing on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two. And digital viewers in the mood to tickle the red buttons on their remotes have been able to keep the laughter going after the programmes have finished.

The latest shows to get the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button treatment are Never Mind the Buzzcocks and The Thick of It.

Buzzcocks recently returned to our screens with added Noel Fielding. Now, following the Thursday night show and selected other evenings throughout November, Noel and fellow team captain Phill Jupitus will be stepping out from behind their buzzers to debate an Issue of Cultural Importance for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button. Discussions to date have the revolved around the relative merits of Brian Ferry and ferries, and just who is the greatest: legendary glam-rockers Wizzard or, er, wizards.

Armando Ianucci's BAFTA winning political comedy The Thick of It is also back for eight brand new episodes when, once again, the Prime Minister's Director of Communications, played by Peter Capaldi, will be fighting the fires caused by The Department of Social Affairs and Citizenship. Digital viewers will be able to access exclusive additional content following each episode.

The Danny Baker Show on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 live

Danny Baker When ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button brought its cameras into the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 live studios to give viewers a glimpse behind the scenes of the 606 football phone-in show last year, Danny Baker and Tim Lovejoy were among the presenters. Now Danny's back with his Saturday morning show for the new football season and the cameras are continuing to roll!

As well as seeing the man himself (possibly wearing his favourite pirate hat), digital viewers pressing the red button can send in texts and pictures to be shown on screen.
These will be accompanied by all the great content you might expect from 5 live: the weekend's football tables, fixture lists, upcoming commentaries, sports news and details of upcoming Red Button content. Plus, look out for some rather more unexpected content: spoof fixtures and unique animations as Danny sets up audience head-to-heads on the phone.

Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two On Thursday evenings viewers in Scotland can press the red button to join Claudia Winkelman and guests for uninterrupted coverage of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two. The programme can be seen on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two in all other areas.

Numberjacks Quiz

NumberjacksThe Numberjacks are CBeebies' own animated superheroes and they like nothing better than solving mathematical problems!
Now for the first time they're dropping in to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button to help younger viewers develop their maths skills, knowledge and understanding.

Children are invited to grab their remote controls and watch clips from the CBeebies show. A question follows each of the ten clips which viewers can answer by pressing either red or blue button.

The Numberjacks quiz will be available every day from 6am to 7pm. Freeview and Sky viewers can visit the Numberjacks from within the new CBeebies Red Button service meaning all your favourite CBeebies games and features are now available in one place.

CBeebies Red Button

New CBeebiesYounger viewers and grown-ups with a sense of adventure may have noticed something new under the red button recently. That's because our CBeebies service has just seen a radical overhaul launching visitors into a big, bright and fun new world.

So what has changed?
Well, your children's favourite characters are now at the heart of the CBeebies interactive TV experience. A big, new and bright carousel now welcomes you into the service giving you easy access to games, other children's interactive services such as karaoke or quizzes, birthdays and star of the week messages.

Different Games
Reflecting the popularity of games for the young audience, a new range of activities has been specially created. The updated service brings with it brand new games for some of the most popular shows on CBeebies, including In The Night Garden and The Green Balloon Club. These new games replace the old ones, which had become increasingly outdated.

Satellite, cable and digital terrestrial viewers will have slightly different offerings from one another. This has enabled us to offer the best games tailored to each system. Cable viewers will see the changes soon.

With the 2009/10 season football season in full swing, here at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button we won't taking our eyes off the ball with a host of programming to keep fans up to date with the action until the silverware is lifted in May.
Mark Lawrenson kicks things off each Friday afternoon as he shares his predictions for the weekend in Friday Focus.
While on Saturday itself the Final Score team will be on hand to monitor the afternoon's action to keep viewers up to date with all the goals as they go in.
´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button will also be replaying action from The Championship and Leagues One and Two in The League Football on Sunday mornings with Manish Bhasin and Steve Claridge rounding up the goals and debate.

- F1: Brazilian & Abu Dhabi Grands Prix*
With the fate of the drivers' championship still hanging in the balance, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button will be bringing coverage of an exciting 2009 Formula 1 season to a close with the usual array of interactive options available during the Brazilian and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekends. F1 fans can customise their viewing experience via the red button with access to all on-track sessions including Friday and Saturday practice and qualifying with re-runs of classic GPs also available in the build-up to the main event.
On race day itself a choice of three streams will be available featuring split-screen in-car camera feeds, leaderboards and rolling highlights, with the option to listen to either network or ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live commentary. After the end of each race on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One there will be an additional interactive programme analysing the weekend's events and picking up views from the paddock with race highlights often available the following day.
Meanwhile, younger F1 fans will be in pole position on race day as a host of familiar stars provide alternative commentary from the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Join Michael "Abs" Absalom, Kirsten O'Brien and F1 expert Perry McCarthy on the Sport Multiscreen for interviews, sketches and up to date info on what's happening in Brazil.

As Valentino Rossi looks to defend the title he comfortably won last year join ´óÏó´«Ã½ Red Button trackside for every twist and turn of the 2009 championship. This season coverage has been expanded to include Saturday afternoon qualifying sessions, re-runs and highlights alongside the existing race day coverage and post-race MotoGP Extra programme.
