'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Bella, Ed and Jake return in the best Twilight yet. The action gives it some real punch, the emotions are on fire and new director David Slade gives the whole thing some serious style. 4 stars

'Shrek Forever After' - The Shrek story limps to a close with this time-travelling tale of a fed-up Shrek getting to rework his past for one day only. New characters such as the Pied Piper fall flat but at least old faves Puss in Boots and Gingerbread Man pop up for the occasional laugh. No belly laughs then but it's good enough for nippers. 2 stars

'Heartbreaker' - French charmer starring Johnny Depp's longtime other half Vanessa Paradis, falling for the charms of a professional gigolo hired by her dad to ruin her wedding. The sunshine and glamorous Med setting, not to mention the effortless romance, make this the rom-com of the Summer. 5 stars
