Some of our favourite stories for week 6

Tris Cotterill | 15:44 UK time, Monday, 26 April 2010

Hope you all had a good weekend in the sun everyone? Russell is moving a little slower around the office today after doing the London Marathon yesterday!

Thanks for all your stories you've been sending in for show 6. These are some of our favourites from the last 7 days.

From zoefell
This is such a non story it's amazing. It must be a really, really slow news day in Salisbury Read the full article at

From Nobodyattall
This is amazing. Police dress up in rabbit costumes and put themselves in danger to warn about drivers about, danger. Hmm, I know Easter wasn't that long ago but seriously! Read the full story at

From AshCB
Ok, this next clip has only been online for a week but is already a bit of a classic. We know that sometimes people at festivals can be a little worse for wear but seriously, if you haven't seen this guy at Coachella festival trying to put his flip flop back on, have a look at

Remember if you see something you think should be on the show, don't keep it to yourself, let us know and you may even see your name in the credits!

What would Russell change about himself?

Tris Cotterill | 15:21 UK time, Thursday, 22 April 2010

It's show 5 tonight, which means we only have two shows and a special best of edition to go. Can someone please explain where the last two months have gone?

As ever we love hearing your questions for Russell so @Brogan_Alexa, @LaurenceHebberd, @RawrrStee and @AmandyyPandyy these are your answers. Oh, and if you are wondering what 'Tinner's' is then have a think back to the first series when we showed Stuart Tinner winning £250k by hitting the crossbar at Wembley (read the story in full at ). Some of our favourite stories for week 5

Tris Cotterill | 15:55 UK time, Monday, 19 April 2010

So we are already up to show 5 in the series and judging by the run through we did last night Thursday's show is going to be a cracker. We wouldn't want to tell you exactly what is in the show but these are some of our favourite stories that you have send in over the past 7 days. This week they have quite a local news theme (well all except one, which is from Togo).

From Nurseyjo
We always love hearing your local stories that may have been missed by team Good News. This is a good example of traffic wardens doing their job

From LoRhiannon
Another local story, this time with a 4 year old kid finding more than he paid for inside an Xbox game case. Read the full story at

From simonpainter
I just think this is really cool, it's a student in Togo who is building robots from old TV sets. Have a look at

From lee_ridley
Another local story and ok ok, it's is pretty grim but the choice of words "The defendant does not have a stable address" is pretty funny -

If you have something you think should be on the show remember to let us know by posting on here or by messaging us on Twitter (). If it gets in the show you may even get your name in the credits!

Tris Cotterill | 16:27 UK time, Monday, 12 April 2010

Well, would you believe it, we are nearly half way through series two already? What? Where did the last month go?

The Good News office is in full election mode prepping for show number 4 this week. As ever, you have done an amazing job sending us in the stuff you've found. These are some of our favourite videos and stories from the last 7 days and to give you a bit of a rest they are 100% election free.

From Jordan Braithwaite
A guy builds a house out of 300,000 beer mats to set a Guinness World Record. Watch the video, it's pretty cool at

From Gabriel Featherstone
Ok, so you may be one of the about 3,000,000 people who have already seen this but if not check it out. It's a cat standing up like a human. It's not often you get to write that sentence. Watch the full clip at

From linzibrooks wrote
Our favourite posts this week have a bit of an arts and crafts theme I've suddenly realised but nonetheless this is pretty cool, a lego Amy Winehouse at

From sazmi
And the Good News award for most opportunist bit of advertising goes to this Ricky Martin coming out related ad. Very well done. See for yourself at
