Oh i have a story for the show . . . There is this girl who has had a really really rough time in her life, she is terribly upset all the time and just generally unhappy with everything. Then she watched an amazing comedian and he brought the sunshine back into her life and now she is happier than ever :D ;)

    Hi,
As you know students marched in London yesterday against the rise in university fees, there was chanting, drumming, banners, rioting and even salsa! Check out this video from 1:30 it's not the best but it might amuse you - we just wanted to do something different! Disclaimer: the video is not mine!

  • Comment number 17.

Actually I have found a better link!! : I would love to see a bit of this in the show! Promote salsa and peaceful protest about the day in light of the bad press!

Reflecting back on the 1000 year old poo has reminded me of a childhood memory... the memory of me visiting my cousins, my eldest cousin (who collects fossils) placed something in my hand and asked me what I thought it was 'a rock?' I replied... then he smugly stated 'it's a fossilized turtle poo!'

I kinda threw it back into his hands and flailed around for half an hour...not happy.

  • Comment number 19.

A great story for your next show!

  • Comment number 20.

There is a wonderfully inspirational video here ; it really shows that happiness can be found anywhere. I think this'd be great for the 'not all doom and gloom'...

    Hi

I remembered being emailed this good news story and was very touched by it.

You may have already seen it. Its about a still born baby that the doctors left for dead but the mother refused to give up and it started breathing again

  • Comment number 24.

This is a great story about 6 Josiah Viera who has an exremely rare genetic disorder whos dream is to play baseball on a team.

Being a transplanted teenager, I have had to go through many scary surgical procedures, and treatments. I lost both my kidneys to cancer, after enduring chemotherapy I had to also endure over two years of dialysis. My lovely mother donated her kidney to me and I am to this day grateful for her sacrifice.
when I had my transplant I was 8years old and didn’t know anyone else who had had an organ transplant, until I met this amazing lady Liz Schick who her self battled with liver cancer and was told she didn’t have that long left to live, she feared for her children and loving husband but she was told by the doctors that she could have a a liver transplant. After receiving her liver transplant her eyes were opened to the world of transplantation and the joys that it can bring to many individuals and families. Not even a year after her transplant she climbed Kilimanjaro. Not long after that she set up an organisation called TACKERS (transplant adventure camps for kids) what TACKERS does is bond new friendships and build understanding of post transplantation and what life you can have after receiving a vital organ. It is held in Anzere Switzerland and it gives these children a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn how to ski, snowboard, dog sleighing, scuba-diving and Para-gliding.
I have made many new friends around the world and have such gratitude for what Liz does. what I believe to be important with TACKERS is that children can be surrounded but children like them and they all understand what each other has been through and it builds an international family that shows support.

Without this organisation I don’t think I would be the person who I am today and I am ever so grateful for what Liz shick has done for me and for many children around the world.

idea for good news...Little 5 yr old Boy in America, Aidan Reed, with Leukemia who is selling his monster drawings to raise money for his treatment. People from all over the world have backed him up =]

  • Comment number 34.

Yo man, me and my brother love your show. Um, i think maybe for one of your good news bits at the end you should maybe do one on this guy?

His names Stephen Murray, and honestly, he's the most amazing guy. He's a proffesional bmx rider that suffered a serious injury in 2007 at an extreme sports event causing him to become paralysed. Over the past couple of years he's made unbelievable progress, while also setting up the brand STAY STRONG and raising his kids. There's much to speak of about this guy, he's truly inspiring, not just to bmx riders but to everybody. Take a look at some of the videos and you'll be blown away, he is one amazing man.

This is a great story from this week's news about a pizza delivery
driver who was robed of his mobile phone and went to the first hose he could see with a light on to call the police. As he was on the phone to the police his attacker walked in. It was his house!! The best part is the attacker initially ran away but returned two hours later just as the police were arriving!

Hey, I just thought you guys would like to hear this story for the "Its Not All Doom And Gloom Section", it's about this guy named Jamie who helped a friend named Renee. He then told her story and then decided that other people should tell their story, his idea became a non-profit movement that spread.
