It's Friday! Hope you all enjoyed our slightly later show last night (because of an extra long Eastenders). We grabbed Russ after he finished recording it on Tuesday to answer some of the audience questions. These are his answers... Enjoy!

  • Comment number 16.

    Hi Russell.

The comment about the cat with a banana is in response to (I think) a part in the 'Dingledodies' DVD when someone who was in the audience at Mock the Week asked you a question and you said something about marrying a cat and eating strawberries. You then went on a spiel about writing a diary about Biffer (who killed a dog once, IIRC), and then someone asked you what you'd have written on your gravestone, you replied "Don't dig me up and bum me", and then another spiel about how someone did dig you up, and there was a cat buried alongside you with a banana in its mouth...

(Sorry, I tend to remember memorable things like that, and I hope I haven't bored anyone to death...:D)

  • Comment number 17.

It could be shaped like an Ewok!((I was intending to make you one this year, but I had no idea at that time that you lived less than 10miles from my house and thought it would be impossible to get it to you))I make a lot of cakes, O.K.)

  • Comment number 21.

Hi Russ, not sure where to send it, so I thought here would be good.

Great idea for the 'Not all doom and gloom' section. Canadian video-makers LoadingReadyRun recently did their 4th annual @Desert Bus for Hope', where they played the most boring video game ever made for 141 hours straight, all for the Child's Play charity. After all the donations, they made a total of $200,00 USD (almost 10x their first year), and it was such an emotional fantastic ending. Contact them and see if they'll be willing to be featured, it was a wonderful thing to watch.

  • Comment number 22.

Hi russell I think your so funny and you are one of my favorite comedians I watched your show last night and couldnt stop laughing love Helen xxx

  • Comment number 23.

Hi Russel, I just thought i would give you a good idea for the 'its not all doom and gloom section of the show'. On Thursday 18th November my brother Ellis Porter arranged a tangerine day (Blackpool Fc) at his high school (Montgomery high School, Bispham, Blackpool) in hopes to raise money for young stroke victims after youth coach Gary Parkinson from Blackpool Fc had a stroke. This event took months of planning and preperation by Ellis and members of staff at the school.

Ellis wrote a letter to Ian Holloway (Ollie) to ask if he would be able to attend the tangerine day at the school and give an assembly to each year group. Ellis also asked if Ollie would be able to bring 2 members of the team to have pictures with the children throughout the school to raise money from each picture. Ollie refused to bring 2 members and brought the whole team instead!! It was a fantastic day for a wonderful cause and they managed to raise awarened of young stroke victims and £2500 so far and it is still ongoing.

I am so proud of my 15 year old brother for all that he has achieved and i hope this would be an interesting topic to feature in your show just to raise further awareness of young stroke victims and the help they need. Video footage of the event was featured on ´óÏó´«Ã½ North West news on 18/11/2010.

    Thank you Megan Porter

I watched you on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Iplayer :) Best Lesson Of my Life!!! and I found out my teacher is going to see you at the same time as me! :O xxx

    can't wait for February xx

  • Comment number 25.

@kkthecyberpanda- thanks for the notion! And I'm sure that your dreams are very weird. Wouldn't be as weird as my dreams! Example- I once had a dream that I was on a gondola with a monster rowing it, and the gondola was in the middle of a foggy rainforest on a purple river and me and the monster were talking about the Powerpuff Girls. I think I was eight when I had that dream. Random or what?! ;D

Hihi!! Happy weekend you lovely people:)
So, news. Lot of it about. Here's some:

    Also, even more Q's
Gina wants to know: How come you never wear your glasses on the show? They really suit you.
Ewan wants to know: Whats the weirdest Q a fan has ever asked you?
CC wants to know:Where was your first ever standup gig, how long have you wanted to be a comedian and when+why were you approached by M.T.W (guess who wants to be a comedian :P)

Are you going to stop recycling your good news show in The Sun newspaper?

I only ask as whilst cueing for tampons in ASDA the other day, I picked up a copy of The Sun. I thought that Russell Howard is a funny chap, I wonder what amusing view points he has come up with today!

Only to find recycled jokes from your good news show, nothing original at all. Whilst your jokes are actually quite amusing and I do like your show, I feel a little let down by the fact your using the same material in the papers as well.

Well I did for a while till I saw the massive waps on page 3 from Zoe 26 in Essex. Ahhhh sweet Zoe. Sweet, sweet Zoe.

  • Comment number 41.

    JIZZmeister:Yup, that's random alright,
I dreamed that It was a tuesday and when my folks left the house I nicked the car and drove to where Good News was being filmed, and watched it, and then ran back to where I left the car, and then my folks were there and they said we were going to see Good News was being filmed, and I was confused because I'd just seen it being filmed, but then we went anyway, but to get to the studio we had to walk through a dark creepy closed aquarium and all the fish were wearing top hats and singing Nanana by my chemical romance. And then we arrived I realised that I had taken a dishwasher with me to get Russells attention. You were there, even though I have no idea what you look like, I just knew it was you. The dishwasher did get his attention, and he asked me to come and do the ending, with him which was a big song and dance and piano number. At the end my 5 year old cousin hugged him. Then when I tried to get his autograph after he ran over me with the tour bus, and my boyfriend came and set fire to the building, which melted down into a necklace that he gave to me, and then we chased after the tour bus in a singing hovercraft. If that's not weird I don't know what is.
I'll be impressed if you read all that :)
I love the powerpuff girls btw!!!
    Katie out!
(:Ewan says:do you like birdseye potato waffels? I say- How many questions does he have to ask before it counts as harassment?:)

  • Comment number 42.

@kkthecyberpanda- Yes I did manage to go through all of that (Yay!). How the hell could I of been in your dream if you don't know what I look like?! And, I will admit, you're dream was a lot more ... entertaining than mine ;)
P.S. The whole dream just made me lol, especially the fish with top hats. I had a dream with something similar to fish with top hats- it was rabbits with moustaches. It still makes me laugh today. :D

The story itself is (obviously worrying) but its funny that china has to be mummy and daddy to the angry twins, north and south korea

The bit that got me though was the "Do you live on Yeonpyeong Island? What is your reaction to North Korea's warning?"

WHO on the tiny remote south korean ruled island would speak english and then be on the bbc news website leaving worried comments!

    - Corinna, London, 29/11/2010 13:06

Well, it is only November you should be able to lose a stone in nine months!

Alternatively, you could have chosen to get married first then have the baby...then you wouldn't have to worry about looking fat in your wedding pics.

I was in Primark once, and I wanted a new bra, so I found a bra that I liked, and then went to the changing rooms to try on my new bra and then closed the drapes so that I could get changed. Now, like a normal girl does when trying on a new bra, I took my shirt off, and then I took my old bra off. But just as soon as I took my bra off and put it on the chair, an old woman opened the drapes. She fully opened it. And what was worse, her teenage daughter was there too, and they both saw my boobs. Obviously, I covered my shame just as the drapes were fully open (Mainly because I was sooo shocked and embarrassed) and the woman just went "Oh My God! I'm so sorry!!" and then closed the drapes. And I am now scared of trying on bras :P

Hey Russell, i just wanted to show you something i found on CNN which i thought might make a good news story. A man described as Heathrow's first "writer in residence" sat at Heathrow and watched the things that went on and has now written "Memoirs of an airport" which depicts his time spent there. Also there is an amusing interview done by CNN which includes the question,

CNN: What job would you most like to have at the airport if given a choice?

De Botton: I would love to run British Airways, and feel I would be eminently qualified for the job. I don't know very much about making money, and nor do they.

You see, I live in a shared house, which is a key feature in my story, because CC decided to hire a window cleaner, and also decided not to tell me that she had hired a window cleaner. I got up yesterday morning, and started to get dressed, turned aroud, and there was an old bloke at the top of a ladder, cleaning my bedroom window. Owch! It was like something out of a carry on film!
Is it snowing where you are?

kkthecyberpanda- Yeah it is. Well, not as much as I would like. You see, I live in Worcester (Or as I like to call it, "The Saucy City"), and God doesn't really like Worcester (Because of it being too saucy) and so it barely snows, there's rarely a blue sky in the summer, and we get all of the ice. How about you, mate? :)
