25 November: 2007 Calendars
Torquil and I went for a quick pint after work the other evening (we did ask the girls in the office but each of them had something else on apparently). Among the many interesting topics discussed was that of 2007 calendars.
I did feel a little bit embarrassed when I revealed that every December I just have to get my hands on an Ulster Bank calendar because of the lovely pictures of the Norn Iron countryside and also a calendar from the Welcome Chinese Take Away in Perry Street, Dungannon because it adds a bit of oriental colour to my life. Torquil quite proudly boasted that the Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries calendar has pride of place in his house and he has already ordered next year's work of art.
Do you have a favourite calendar? Let's face it you can't just pick any old one, they have to mean something. Staring at them must stir memories or arouse fantasies or just carry you away somewhere. Anyway, do let me know if there are any that do it for you and maybe we'll do a top ten countdown.
