Waiting for an 11 week scan into my 3rd pregnancy, (two boys already)aged 37, as I glanced around the room, I noticed I was rather rounder than most, but didn't give it another thought - an hour later I emerged, weeping copiously, my husband the colour of chalk clutching the picture of TWO babies. The benefits; a large family, a bonus daughter, a whirlwind and sense of smugness. The drawbacks; never enough time, a lot of noise and a sense of constant bewilderment at how this happened to me. It IS wonderful, but you should never feel guilty about having doubts - it took me the whole pregnancy and probably more to get used to it!
Complain about this postHealth warning re carrots: as a dietitian I saw a patient who had to have a liver transplant because of excess carrots which he had taken as copious amounts of carrot juice and he had turned orange. So a wourd of warning - moderation on the carrot juice but as far as I know whole carrots raw or cooked cannot be eaten in excess because of the bulk.
