Crop Circler
For a while, in the 1980s, crop circles were a staple of the ‘And Finally’ section on any self respecting news station. Young, agile reporters were sent out into the middle of fields to look for alien life – or the imprints of someone’s size 8 wellies. No one could really explain crop circles, no one ever owned up to them, no one knew what to say to the irate farmers.
If only they had known about Chris - we’ll leave his surname out of this –because his acts were those of vandalism and he does regret them now.
It is remarkable how the presenter doesn't question the honesty of the man who said he had seen 3 lights spinning in the sky, which then shot off in different directions - particularly when you consider how that man was, at the time, making a crop circle to lead people to believe in extra terrestrial life.

This perception is ONLY perpetuated by the media with glib coverage like yours. 'Chris' and his friends cannot possibly have been responsible for the hundreds of formations that occur all over the world every year in crops, ice, sand, trees....
Complain about this postPlease, do some proper research before spreading even more disinformation. Just because we cannot immediately understand something, it doesn't mean it has to be dismissed comfortably with an 'explanation'. And yes, it was vandalism, on more than just a field.
To have this followed up by a similar hoax claimant the next week was unreasonable, whatever happened to balance? And if they are admitting a genuine crime, why don't you inform the police? It is of interest in itself that no-one has ever been caught in the act of these highly public events. Perhaps the actor's acts didn't actually happen?
As someone who has visited many crop circles I defy anyone to say that all of them have been faked.There have been many which are large and complex which would be difficult to fake in the short night times availble in the summer.
