T in the Park 2011 - headliners

Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters were announced as the first headliner for T in the Park 2011 in December last year and this morning, Scotland's press gathered at the Lighthouse as the rest of the line up was unveiled.

Joining the Foos at Balado will be the Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay. Both bands have eagerly awaited new albums set to be released this year and T In the Park could prove the first opportunity for fans to hear new material.

Other acts announced today include two time Brit award winner Tinie Tempah, Manic Street Preachers, Pendulum, Tom Jones, Deadmau5, Blondie and the return of '90s favourites Pulp. Head over to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 1's T in the Park event page for the confirmed line up so far.

Mogwai

Mogwai's seventh album "Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will" was reportedly named after an overheard remark in a Glasgow off-licence. Before hitting the motorway to hawk their giant riffs around Europe, Glasgow's champions of doom rock dropped in to Studio One at Pacific Quay to record a session for The Vic Galloway Show on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Scotland.

Glasvegas

Glasvegas have just finished recording their second album in Santa Monica with maverick producer . Featuring a new Swedish drummer and a host of exotic outboard equipment, their sound has beefed up and become even more epic - sure to go down a storm at this year's festivals, we think.
