The Graham Norton is to replace Jonathan Ross on Radio 2 on Saturday mornings.

The Times has announced a 10 per cent cut in its editorial budget . The Sunday Times is expected to follow suit. They will shortly unveil their separate websites, ahead of introducing charges.

As Chris Evans wins 9.5m listeners a week (not per day, as the article says), critic that he was wrong.

The reports of backbench concern over plans to require a 55% Commons majority to dissolve Parliament.
