The the ´óÏó´«Ã½ director-general Mark Thompson is expected to fight back against the Corporation's critics when he gives the keynote MacTaggart Lecture at the Edinburgh International Television Festival this evening.
The Mark Thompson is expected to contrast the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s £2 billion a year spending on UK-produced programmes with Sky's policy of spending heavily on sports rights and movies.
