See Hear is a long-running, established strand with a strong following amongst the deaf and hard of hearing communities. It is a magazine format, and it covers a diverse range of stories, from consumer items to current affairs, arts, science, history and politics. The production is moving to Birmingham and will be part of the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Factual output based in the Mailbox.
We are looking to recruit to a number of posts, at Runner, Researcher and Assistant Producer level.
The Assistant Producers will need experience of producing content-rich, entertaining films and who can initiate and develop creative treatments across a wide range of subjects. You will have excellent scripting, structuring and story-telling skills and strong editorial judgement.

The Researchers we need should enjoy generating story ideas, with strong research and journalistic skills. Confident in their self shooting skills and in planning, scripting and editing their films. Working effectively as a member of the production team is a must.

We need enthusiastic and highly motivated Runners, who are perhaps new to TV production but keen to learn. We will expect you to be self-starters, who are flexible and able to turn your hand to any challenge.

For all the above roles, we are interested in hearing from candidates who have strong links with the deaf community and a good knowledge of deaf culture and identity and familiarity with the See Hear target audience.
