Weekend viewing figures

Roger Mosey | 11:48 UK time, Monday, 12 March 2007

We're sometimes told off for allegedly being obsessed by audience figures, but this time a number of people have emailed to ask for the viewing figures for our busy weekend of sport - so here they are.

The headline is that a total of 23.8m people in the UK saw some of the Six Nations or the FA Cup on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ - that's four in 10 of the population.

In chronological order, the peak audience for each event was:

- (3.4m)

- (4.7m)

- (7.8m)

- (5.7m)

- (5.9m)

- (5.1m)

I'll add to this post later when we've sorted out the replays and the semi-final FA Cup picks. Meanwhile, we're looking forward to a in which every match counts!
