Super Bowl bonus on road to Beijing

We're announcing today that the is coming to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Television and this . As one of the world's greatest sporting events, we've covered it on Radio 5 live for some years; but now we've agreed with the that it will be live on ´óÏó´«Ã½ TWO from next February.

Along with live transmission of the Super Bowl, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ has acquired highlights to the NFL game at . Whatever your level of knowledge of American football, this will be quite an occasion: the first regular season NFL match outside the Americas, thousands of travelling supporters from the US and even more British fans getting a chance to see the sport touch down at Wembley.

That points to the global interest in NFL. The Super Bowl is more than just an American sports event: you just need to remember the a couple of years back to see how it can become talking point worldwide, and there's always an incredible line-up of entertainment to accompany the football.

We're not, of course, planning a major incursion into American sports. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ will always retain a strong UK-focus, and next year is a particularly good one for us: in addition to our usual staples such as , and we'll have full coverage of the two biggest events of the summer - and the - on ´óÏó´«Ã½ TV, radio and online.

So, the Super Bowl in Arizona in February is part of a story that will take us through Austria and Switzerland on the way to Beijing. It should be a great twelve months for sports fans and for the extra millions who join us for the big occasions.
