Weekend feedback

A crunch weekend of Euro qualifiers means a bulging inbox of questions.
Many of you (Scottish, English, and others) were disappointed that was not on ´óÏó´«Ã½ television. The answer to that is that international football is sold in packages and often years in advance. With the Euro qualifiers the broadcasting rights were split (with ) so that the ´óÏó´«Ã½ had the Scotland away fixtures, and England home fixtures. Obviously it would have been nice to have screened the drama from Hampden on the ´óÏó´«Ã½, but we were not able to decide to do the game just because it turned out to have so much riding on it, and it was not a straight choice between the Scotland match or the England one.
Coincidentally, and in response to the many fans that have been in contact, the only match televised, in full, on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ on Saturday was Northern Ireland's battling win over Denmark. The game was not just on ´óÏó´«Ã½ TWO NI but made available throughout the UK on ´óÏó´«Ã½i, Radio 5 Live and online.
So, in case you missed it, there was a and online . As well as interviews with Aaron Hughes and David Healy, and a commemorating his record-breaking marksmanship.
For anyone confused by of topping their qualifying group, yes, if England won 1-0 they would have a superior goal difference to Croatia, but head-to-head results count first in these qualifiers (if the teams are level on points).
But, in between all this roundballing, where was our coverage of newly-crowned champion ? It was , prominent on our Motorsport page, and included an interview with Andy after his great win. As with Daryl Peach's victory last week, we do try to cover British triumphs but, if it is in a less well-known tournament or sport, it might sometimes be less prominent.
And did you enjoy ? Honestly, I watched our coverage all weekend, so how did do? No silly acrimony or rivalry (you may have guessed that we've split the rights package, see above) - the ´óÏó´«Ã½ had the and ITV has the . How was the coverage in comparison?
A final note to say thanks to all of you that offered your tributes to Mike Gregory.
