So it's the morning after the morning before - when we saw two Britons finish in the F1 top 3 for the first time in donkey's years. We'll be hearing from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ team later this week as they get ready for Malaysia and Race 2, but in the meantime I thought I'd pull together some reaction and some viewing statistics.

It tickled me for 16 years - the fact that Huddersfield Town were so proud that before he left for Liverpool that they preserved his toilet seat behind glass in their museum.
So although it was 1993, when I worked on the TV football fanzine Standing Room Only, that I saw this prized throne at Town's old Leeds Road ground, it immediately sprang to mind when I was asked to come up with an idea for a ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport broadband show.

As a child growing up in Yorkshire in the 1960s, the Boat Race was one of the sporting landmarks. We'd gather round the black-and-white TV set on a Saturday afternoon for the events that mark the rhythm of the year; and alongside the Boat Race in our family's priorities were the Grand National, Wimbledon, the FA Cup Final and the Rugby League Cup Final - before signalled that Christmas was just around the corner.
We had no university connections then. But that race between and - or different shades of grey as they were in the Sixties - was something that hooked not just us but millions across the country.
That's still true today. Some sports rise, others fall - but the Boat Race still grabs mass audiences despite changing tastes and fragmenting media habits. The last time it was on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ it was watched by a peak of almost 9 million; and during the ITV contract it attracted getting on for 8 million on its most recent outing.

You may have noticed we've made some changes to the . We're going through a bit of an early spring clean to get things in shape for what promises to be an exciting few months of sport.
The reason for these changes is that in three weeks time Formula One returns to ´óÏó´«Ã½ screens for the first time in 12 years.
It's a fantastic opportunity to do something different and take our coverage to new heights. There will be more to say on this in the coming days when we'll return to this blog to run through our editorial plans for the up-coming F1 season on TV, radio and online.
