Over to you .....
Springwatch 2008 may be over, but nature never stops writing scripts for the greatest show on Earth. Don't stop watching, enjoying and getting involved.
We do have a few titbits left for you. For Bill and Kate's final word on Springwatch 2008 (courtesy of our wonderful new friends at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Norfolk), click here.
But it doesn't stop there. Summer is on its way and with it a whole host of wild and wonderful experiences to enjoy, no matter whether you live in a city or in the sticks, young or old, rich or poor, expert or novice. UK wildlife has something for everyone, and this web site will continue to help point you in the right direction.
We have special sections (which we will keep updating) which give you ideas on where to watch wildlife in the UK, how to help wildlife in your garden and how to better understand, enjoy and protect our amazing sea life, especially with the Marine Bill going through parliament. We're also going to leave the messageboards up (in "read only" form, and with selected highlights) so you can look back through an amazing month long conversation about UK wildlife, courtesy of your tens of thousands of posts. I'll also be blogging occasionally to keep you up to date with developments.
Do keep filming your own home movies over the summer and tell us about them - they may get featured on a future series. I've noticed that a lot of you are asking for a way of sending in or sharing photographs during Springwatch, so we're going to look into that and see what we can do for Autumnwatch (it is your series, after all).
On Springwatch, we like to think that we bring nature to life for you. In between series, how about you keep it alive for us?
There are so many ways that you can do your bit and get involved with helping nature where you live, whether it's in a window box, a garden, a park, an allotment or in your local community. Our friends at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Breathing Places have lots of ideas of things you can do, from the easy to the downright adventurous. Go to their "Do One Thing" section for inspiration. Do you have anything to do with a school? How about encouraging them to become a Breathing Places School?. And if you want to do something substantial in your local community and need a little financial help, check out the "grants for nature" section. Go on - go for it!
Love wildlife. Have fun while you do so. Give it a helping hand and it'll pay you back in spades. Don't think of Springwatch as a three week TV series. Think of it as a way of life .......
