I'm doing my GCSEs and I would miss a lot of school for it - plus I live nowhere near London and my parents couldn't come with me. I've decided not to do it, but I wish they'd make the application more understandable.

At 2nd Feb 2010, Vicki wrote:Hello! To answer you George and Newagecomedienne, the situ is that if you are 16 years old and you are taking your A levels, you may still apply for the full time filming job in London.
However, if you are doing your GCSEs, you MUST obtain a performance license from the LEA in order to get the part. This is because A levels aren't mandatory but GCSEs are! If you don't have one of these, we won't be able to see you - sorry.
Auditionee - what's important is that you fall into the required age bracket on the day of your audition, so if you're 22 by the recalls, that's fine.
Hope this helps y'all :) Gooood luck!! x

At 4th Feb 2010, Vicki wrote:Hiyyyya! Okay, so I've done some investigation and basically joining the cast of The Cut is a full time job. You will be expected to film full time for two weeks every 5 weeks or so - this means you wouldn't not be able to sit A levels at the same time. Hope this helps :) xx

I'm 17 and I live in South London so I'm not worried about the travelling at all. But I'm in the second year of my A-levels, I really want to audition but I can't miss too much school so close to my exams and I definitely can't miss any of my exams. Is there any point in me auditioning?
