Wow...just, wow.
Look at all this lot. Just look at it! What an enormous list of astonishing songs! How is any sane human supposed to make a choice between the heartbreak of 'Dry Your Eyes', the raw sauce of 'SexyBack' or the Austin Powers theme music (Quincy Jones, in case you weren't sure)?
And that's before you even think about 'Teardrop', which is one of the most stunning, heartsparkly songs of the past 20 years. Or the Young Knives, who are one of those genius unsung bands that will be close to national treasure status, in a few years. In fact, every single one of these songs deserves a special pat on the head, a teary hug, and maybe even a back rub. But it's my job to pick a favourite, so pick a favourite I will.
Being an underdog kind of person, I'm going for 'Rage Against The Tantrum' by Thomas Tantrum. Just because it's great and it has a funny title and the band's name is amazing. That's all the excuse I need. What's your fave?
Here is the extra long . Pace yourselves!
