It's not often you hear a song which describes a love-interest type person as being a "bad dog" and then insists that they "sit" and "stay" and "roll over", is it? Especially not one which then goes on to conclude that despite the fact that he's a good man and she's a good girl - or a pitbull and a dog, apparently - everything is going so wrong that the only solution is some wine for her and better behaviour from him.
The Cardigans have just such a song. I'm not sure what kind of punishment their singer has in mind for her boyfriend the dog, mind. Traditional dog punishments include a sharp slap with a rolled-up newspaper, a sending-to-bed, or rubbing his nose in his own mess.
In the context of a failing relationship, the sending to bed could be misinterpreted, and the newspaper slap is only going to aggravate matters. As for the mess, let's just not go there, OK?
Which just leaves training your other half to be a nicer person, involving treats - probably chocolate, people love chocolate - and a nice back-scratch as rewards.
It is fair to say you do not get this kind of sophisticated life advice from AC/DC...
, which is a bit spottier than usual thanks to some songs not being available (AC/DC) and some being a little too sweary for public consumption (BAD Gerard Way, IN YOUR BED!)´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing)
